Vice President Sally Garrahy was recently welcomed as the new President of the Gympie Chamber of Commerce.

After 6.5 years as the President of the Chamber, Ben Ellingsen of Ellingsen Partners has decided to step down to pursue outside interests. Ben says he has “enjoyed being President and learned a lot as well” and it is no secret that the Chamber has enjoyed having him here.

Whilst sorry to see him go, it is exciting for all who know him that Ben will be working on new and exciting projects – while remaining a close friend and Member of the Chamber.

Sally is excited to begin her journey as President. She says “the chamber offers all the benefits of networking, including those surprising ideas and synergies, what she calls the “Ah-ha! moments.” She is a passionate local businesswoman and strategist, and looks forward to working more closely with Members of the Chamber to truly draw out and showcase what the Chamber has to offer.

Sally’s first official Presidential appearance was at the Small Business Queensland Networking Breakfast, where she had the pleasure of launching the Chamber’s new logo and website, as well as hosting guest speakers and formally advising the members of the change in leadership.
