With so much negativity drowning out all positivity at the moment, the 18th of July will be a great chance to get some positive vibes at the Chamber’s next breakfast meeting.

Whether you are a local business person or a member of the public wanting to make a difference for your town, make sure you grab your ticket and attend.

Speaking will be Neil Glentworth, the founder and chair of information and data management from the firm GWI.  Neil grew his business from his kitchen table into the respected professional services company it is today.

GWI teaches businesses and community groups how to know their audience better using data, this data then generates ideas that resonate and are highly targeted to the community, and how to measure the impact of those ideas. This means that by using data, community spending can be used where it will make the most impact.

In the past, ideas were like cowpats thrown at a wall to see which one might stick. This is highly inefficient. We can learn from people like Neil who analyse the data – as data doesn’t lie.

The many speakers we have heard from over the past 6 months have predominately spoken on the future. This meeting is different.

We have a speaker focused on the NOW. Neil will tell us what we can do right away to improve our businesses, and therefore the economy and well-being of our town.

Neil is known for advising real “meat and potatoes” stuff. He comes highly recommended by everyone we speak with so we are super excited to hear from him.

The key takeaways you can expect will be:

  • The practical and actionable steps the Gympie region can take to power economic growth.
  • The Gympie competitive advantage you can seize tomorrow.
  • What you should be doing to succeed in the Gympie economy.

The meeting will be chaired by our President, Tony Goodman. Tony will wrap up feedback from our last breakfast as well as outline feedback from the GRC regarding the Planning Department.
