This months’ breakfast (last one for Winter!) was held at the beautiful Gunabul Homestead in Southside.
Over a delicious, fresh brekkie our members were treated to a Presentation by Grant Ferry, from the CCIQ (Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland). The theme for the August Networking Breakfast was: When you have business or organisational “How do I…” questions, where do you go for the answers?’.
Grant delivered an informed and helpful presentation; highlighting the many ways the CCIQ can support us throughout the many stages of starting, running and maintaining a successful business in Queensland.
The CCIQ was formed to support and remove the burdens put on many small, local businesses and serves to ensure that no matter your industry, size or life-cycle, there is somewhere for you to turn when you need advice and help.
Among the huge array of products and services available through the CCIQ, Grant discussed:
- CCIQ books – A massive collection of downloadable publications covering topics from Parental Leave to working from home information for business
- CCIQ Learning – A collection of digital courses and webinars covering a variety of topics. These courses can be undertaken any time that suits you!
- CCIQ Power – An Australian-designed energy management system that learns your business’s energy patterns and manages your appliances’ efficiency
Grant also discussed the fact that the CCIQ can lend advisory support to business owners in Queensland. That may be questions in relation to correct award rates for employees, HR queries, advocacy and getting past the red tape, as well as of course networking and educational opportunities to keep you growing through each stage of your venture. The CCIQ is here to keep you informed and out of trouble! 😉
Each year, the CCIQ also produces the Digital Readiness Survey providing statistics and trends on the current Australian business digital landscape. For example, did you know that a staggering 59% of businesses declared they have a mobile optimised website, up from just 10% in 2015? Or that 61% of businesses have advised that they do not have a Digital Marketing plan? Not only does the survey provide detailed statistics, it also provides readers with helpful advice, tips and summaries; to help you get the most out of their research.
The CCIQ is here for you; Business owners big and small. It is the vision of the CCIQ and the Gympie Chamber of Commerce to see Queensland businesses thrive, moving from strength to strength. The available resources, people, downloads, e-books, online courses and live seminars in our great state provide an all-round go-to for you to truly succeed and reach your goals.
The CCIQ is here to power your business potential. With many thanks to Grant Ferry for graciously guest speaking, and our members attendance and support, we are happily ticking off a successful and informative networking breakfast for August.
Stay tuned for our September Breakfast!
